Happy Nowruz

nowruz (noʊruz or نوروز ) is the traditional Persian new year in other nowruz is the first day of spring. they have same tradition like christians . its called Haft sin or seven ‘S’ table .the Haft sin items is :

• sabzeh - wheat, barley or lentil sprouts growing in a dish - symbolizing rebirth
• samanu - a sweet pudding made from wheat germ - symbolizing affluence
• senjed - the dried fruit of the oleaster tree - symbolizing love
• sīr - garlic - symbolizing medicine
• sīb - apples - symbolizing beauty and health
• somaq - sumac berries - symbolizing (the color of) sunrise
• serkeh - vinegar - symbolizing age and patience

The traditional herald of the Nowruz season is a man called Haji Fizoor ( Amoo Nowruz ) or  uncle Nowruz. He usually uses face paint to make his skin black and wears a red costume. Then he sings and dances through the streets with tambourines and trumpets spreading good cheer and heralds the coming of the New Year.
